Why yesterday is the figure to quote

Today is always partial. A weekly average smooths away everything interesting. Yesterday sits between the two: complete enough to be real, recent enough to still act on.

One day is not a trend

Single days move for ordinary reasons. Weekends run lighter. Public holidays dent a country's contribution, and because WooCommerce is strong outside the English speaking world, its calendar effects do not always line up with a US or UK week. None of that means the launch rate changed.

For direction, use the week: 16,827 launched Oct 9 to Oct 15, down 13.3% on the week before.

From FisherLeads, which confirms each store is genuinely new and live before counting it. Last confirmed October 15, 2026.

How many WooCommerce stores launched yesterday?

2,613 launched yesterday, Oct 15, according to FisherLeads tracking.

Is that higher or lower than normal?

It is 9% above a typical day, which runs around 2,404.

Why use yesterday rather than today?

Yesterday is the most recent completed day, so the count is final and comparable.
